Maroubra & District Pioneer Register Pre 1945

The idea for producing this publication beagn about 2 years ago when two of our founding members were talking about the people they remembered from the district. A committee, led by theses two members, planned and coordinated the collection, compilation and editing of the biographical information necessary for the publication.

This publication contains 608 entries from 284 submitters. The book contains a shapshot of Maroubra and District at a time when the population in the area was experiencing rapid growth. The entries provide biographical and social information for researchers both now and in the future.

The publication covers the suburbs south of Gardners Road and Rainbow Street including Daceyville, Kingsford, Pagewood, Matraville, Malabar, Yarra Bay, Little Bay and La Perouse.
